Misc. Notes
At birth, he was delivered by a “graduate midwife” (examinerad Barnmorska); the “churching” (kyrktagning) of his mother occured on 18-JUL-1858 (that is where the mother is “introduced” to the congregation following childbirth). [2989]

During his short residence in the parish of Rinkaby, Carl lived in a farm household originally headed by Anders LARSSON at Geltofta No.3. However, it appears that Anders and most other members of that household, left Rinkaby before Carl even arrived. Carl departed Rinkaby for the parish of Åhus in November, 1875. [2993], [2994], [2995] The household records describe him as a Seaman. Carl left Åhus on 17 JUL 1876, destination unknown. [2996], [2997]

The 1910 census indicates that Carl had filed his papers for naturalization but the process was not complete. By the 1910 census, he reported being naturalized. [1511], [1512]
Research
Possible relative of Carl, Edvard LANG, born 8 May 1824, Sölvesborg, residing at No.63, Åhus, while Carl was living at No.64. [2996] Although there is a slight discrepancy regarding Edvard’s date of birth, he is probably Carl’s uncle.

The Carl Wilhelm Lång who arrived in New York, 17 Apr 1883, was originally from Örslösa, Skaraborg, not Näsum, Kristianstad. And the Carl Wilhelm Lång who arrived in New York, 25 Apr 1892, may have actually been the same person, having returned to Sweden and bringing back others from Örslösa, to Wyoming.
