Based on family knowledge that he was a Chemist (Druggist), it appears that his given name was “John” rather than “T. C.” (possibly the author misinterpreted “J. C.” from her source?). [58]
The birth register has the surname written as “PARNWELL” but the consistency of the rest of the information with everything else here, suggests it really was meant to be PARNELL.
As of 06-OCT-1856, he lived in Peterboro, England. [58]
In “History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Northamptonshire” (1849) on p. 688, the directory of Trades and Professions, lists a John PARNELL, under the “Chemists and Druggists” heading, with a location of “Market-place.” [4739, p. 688]
The probate abstract states that administration of John’s estate was granted to Eleanor JOHNSON of 7 Harrison Road, in Northampton, noted as a widow and the sister. [4741]
