Misc. Notes
In 1898, William Edward PEBODY joined the Freemasons at the Kingsley Lodge, Northampton. [7346]

In 1923, William & Emma visited North America, arriving at Ellis Island, New York, onboard the S.S. Olympic. Destination given was St. Chads College, Regina, Canada, with the purpose to visit his daughter, Mrs. DOBIE. [2914] [7056] [7057] He also declared that his nearest relative back in England was a sister, “Mary NIGHTINGALE”, of Sutton, Surrey. The 1911 census of Sutton parish, Surrey, England, lists a Mary Elizabeth NIGHTINGALE (wife of Frederick Joseph NIGHTINGALE), age 46, born in Flixton, Suffolk. This suggests that Mary is really a sister of William's 2nd wife, Emma BROCK, who was also born in Flixton. William and Emma returned to England in September, 1923. [7058]
