Misc. Notes
First settled in Wisconsin. Moved to Minnesota approximately 1861-1863 (between the birth of John and Charles Frederick). About 1878, Smith & Lydia moved back to England to “care for an aged father” [1558], apparently taking only Elizabeth & Joseph with them. Not known when they returned to Minnesota, but obviously no later than 1892. [460]
A William Flanders, age 44, lived on the same street (High Street) in Wilburton, England, in 1881.
