Richard is not known to be Catholic (but could be), but there was a Richard Johnson baptized 31-DEC-1800 at St Finbarr's (South), Cork City. Father was Spencer William Johnson and mother was Honora (possibly Hannah or Nora) Welsh.
Ancestry.com. Ireland, Catholic Parish Registers, 1655-1915. The index claims birth year was 1800 but the actual record does not say that. Based on Richard’s age at death, he was born ca. 1797, so if that is his baptism record, it would represent a 3-year delay. Not sure what the average time from birth to baptism was then.

, Jane BERRY would have been a rather old mother when they were born (Kate: 1855, Co. Cork; Lydia: 1866, Co. Limerick). But if their ages in 1911 (more than 10 years older in that census) are more accurate, then it is more possible that Jane was their mother (Kate: 1845, Lydia: 1859). Also, 1901 & 1911 names a grand niece of Kate, named Mary Elizabeth PULLAR (
b.ca. 1897, Cork City). Note that both Kate and Lydia were still single as of 1911. Mary might have married Peter Joseph SEWELL or Francis Rudolph PIENS, 1930 Dec Qtr., Cork. vol. 5, p.45
Based on “Ireland, Casey Collection Indexes, 1545-1960” (chapter 6: Baptisms, Parish of Mallow, Church of Ireland, Baronies of Fermoy and Duhallow, Diocese of Cloyne, County of Cork, 1863-1965, vol. 14, image 130, original p.#399) it was SEWELL and they may have had a child, Richard Andrew SEWELL b.22 MAY 1936, Railway Cottage N. Mallow, bap.13-JUN-1936. Peter was a “ganger.”
