The 1850 census for Oliver & Deborah SMITH ( Source [3107]) includes on the same page, a family headed by Mahala WHEELER, age 43 (born in New York), presumably a widow at that time. Children include a Lyman L. WHEELER, age 11, and Eliza A., age 9. However, the Elizabeth WHEELER who married Ephraim SMITH, was 22 in 1850 ( Source [1047]). Thus putting into question the parentage of Elizabeth.
