Misc. Notes
Newspaper announcement of her marriage to Robin describes Myrtle as being from Linwood, Minnesota, which is in Anoka County. [2571]

Her mother was born in Canada (French speaking area - maybe). [2588], [2593]

Married Victor J. PATTERSON as “Mate J. BRINSTAD” rather than “HAGENSEN” [2590]
Resident of Anoka Co., Minnesota, at time of marriage to Victor. [2590]
Research
Possible (but fuzzy) match in California Death Records:
PATTERSON, Mate J., born 06-JUL-1883 North Dakota, mother's maiden name: CARROLL, father's last name: GEPSON; died in Ventura county, 14-JAN-1957. Age 73. No SSN#. (it would appear this entry is essentially correct except for the father’s name and possibly the year of birth).

Misc. Notes
Robin was reportedly living in Minneapolis prior to marriage, though he was not listed in the 1900-1902 city directories; he could, however, have been living with his brother, Julius. [2711] A Robert BRINSTAD was listed in the 1900 directory, shown as being employed at at S. E. Olson Co., the company owned by Robin’s uncle. [2611] (Julius was the only BRINSTAD listed from 1901-1902). Given that the 1900 census lists a Robert BRINSTAD at the same address shown in the directory and whose description is a close match with Robin, it is very likely that Robert is Robin. [2613]

Following the wedding, Robin & Myrtle moved to Seattle, where Robin was a clerk at the Rainier-Grand Hotel (or obtained that position soon after) [2571], [2614], [2702, p.999] By 1905 they had moved to Portland, Oregon. [2579]
In Portland he worked at the Hotel Oregon. An image of a postcard of the hotel is online at:
