“Pelerugren,” which was given on Lise’s death certificate as the maiden surname of her mother, is actually a distorted spelling of the name of the farm that Lise was born on in Ringsaker parish: “Pellervika.” [3398], [3397] Her father’s name was also distorted; it turns out the middle initial given, “C”, matches his patronymic name of “CASPERSEN” (explaining why Lise named her first son, Casper) and the surname given, “Kockine” is a distortion of “Kokkine” which is also a farm name in Ringsaker. Geographically, Pellervika is between Stigen farm and the town of Brununddal, and Kokkine is north of Stigen, right next to Dæli (Dæhli). So Lise and her family were neighbors of her father-in-law, Christian OLSEN STIGEN.

The birth record of her son, Casper, states his mother’s maiden name as KOKKINE.
