18-AUG-2016: no marriage record found at cookcountygenealogy.com for an August LINDREGN (or LINGREN or SINGREN).
Also searched ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Chicago Tribune in range 15-FEB-1944 to 16-MAR-1944, but nothing found for August AND Lindgren.

24-AUG-2016: www.dekalbgenealogy.com, there was an August LINDGREN who married an Ella PEARSON, 02-NOV-1892. But no other marriages for an August. The only HAWKINSON marriage found was in 1942 for Emil A. The 1930 census says his 1st marriage was in 1892 and Martha’s 1st was ca. 1900.

1940 Gladys & Thomas CLARK w/o children, in Chicago. where are Melvin & Roy?
*** 2 census records for Gladys & Thomas, but one has the kids, the other
doesn’t and the one that does lists Ray AND Raymond !!!
The kids are at 3732 Clifton Av. Chicago; w/o kids at 617 Marshfield St.
Amazing coincidence, Thomas w/kids is 44, the other is 45. Gladys is
same age in both places. But level of schooling is very different. And
Thomas’ occupations are different. So forget the one w/o kids.
Melvin is now a CLARK, per the 1940 census.
1944 August LINDGREN dies.
1950 Winifred W. NELSON dies in Evanston; burial in Sycamore, IL.
