Misc. Notes
1881 census listed him as just “John Thomas” as if “Thomas” was his surname. Wife was listed as “Esther Amelia do.” But all other details agree with 1891 & 1901 census data.
Research
John is believed to be the son of Isaac & Elizabeth EARWAKER/EARWICKER - see 1861 & 1871 censuses, Hound, Hampshire.

A John EARWICKER’s birth was registered in the Jun Qtr. 1858, Portsea Island reg. dist., Hampshire, vol.2b, p.386 - definitely not the same thing as Hound, Hampshire.

Have not found marriage record for John & Esther.
