Catherine definitely married someone named KELLY, but since Joseph KELLY is a common name it is difficult to say for certain which Joseph that was (or that he was a Joseph - why did she get married in NSW instead of South Australia?). I found news items about a Joseph Kelly who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, at the Packsaddle Hotel, Milparinka, NSW, 11 Aug 1898. He apparently was the "licensee" of the hotel. [6547] [6548] None of the news mentioned a widow. Confusingly, around the same time there was news about another Joseph Kelly who had escaped from prison.
