Misc. Notes
Oliver’s Swedish parish records were found using the assumption he was from the same parish as his wife. Based on the records found, his parents’ names don’t agree with Oliver’s death certificate, but clearly, by Swedish naming conventions, his father had to be Håkan, not John.

Curious discrepancy: The death certificate gives the date of death as 11-NOV-1922, but the “Petition for Probate of Will and Letters Testamentary” (14-NOV-1922) says he died “on or about” 04-NOV-1922.
[5222] The court document also states that the correct spelling of Oliver’s surname is “HAKANSON.” Another probate document, dated 11-DEC-1922 and signed by a judge, makes the spelling, “HAKANSON” official. [5223, image 410]

The original, signed copy of Oliver’s will, is found as image # 366, in Source [5223]

A “Proof of Heirship” document dated 11-DEC-1922, names all the children born to the marriage of Oliver and his late wife. In addition to Benjamin, Emma and Julia, it states there were six other children who died as infants, but for some reason fails to name Albert/Bertie, who died before the will and probate, but definitely not as an infant (5 Feb 1913). [5223, image 375] Perhaps they omitted Albert because he had no children to serve as heirs in his place. The 1900 census reported that “Christin HOKANSON” [sic] was the mother of 6 children, 4 still living. [5265]
