Misc. Notes
William H. Soames’ death certificate says his mother’s maiden name is HANSON.
[347]But her death certificate says her father’s surname was HEADMAN.
[410]The confusion probably comes from the fact that Caroline’s mother’s maiden name was HESSON.
[410]Caroline Maude appears to be the 2nd wife of George Swindell, because he had two sons as of 1900, whose mother was born in Wisconsin, but Caroline was born in Canada.
[319], [410]In 1900 the census reported that she was the mother of 6 but that zero were living, which doesn’t make sense because her son, Herbert, was living with her.
[319]In 1910 the census reported that she was the mother of 3 with 1 living and Herbert was the only child listed in the household.
[295]She was reported as “Maud” in 1900 and “Caroline” in 1910 and the year of immigration was given as 1853 in 1900 but 1865 in 1910. The 1900 census definitely has it wrong because it claims she was in the USA 10 years before she was born.
[319]Caroline’s death certificate has her living in Minnesota for only 10 years prior to her death but that can’t be right since she was in Minneapolis for the 1900 census (As Maud SWINDELL).
