Sam’s father might have been George CRADECK (as spelled in the 1841 census of Great Harrowden, Northamptonshire). In which case, “Geo CRADECK Junr.” listed in the same 1841 household, could be Sam’s brother. It is further suspected that George Jr.’s daughter, “Jame” (assuming it is actually “Jane”) was the mother of Beatrice Jane WATSON, who was introduced to her future husband, Thomas Alfred MILLS, by William Starmer SMITH, in Nelson, BC, Canada, in 1894
As noted by the 1851 census, when Samuel & Susannah lived on Back Street, another family on Back Street was headed by Valentina(”Valentine” more likely) CRADOCK and his much younger wife, Mary A. Thus, Valentina/e could be another brother of Sam.
