The 1810 census has a John ORT age 26-44 living in Sugarcreek, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania. The presumed wife is 16-25, so John’s true age is probably more to the lower end of his range. The household includes 1 male 10-15, one female under 10 and a 2nd female 16-25.
Another John in 1810 lived in Dunkard, Greene Co., Pennsylvania. He was either 45+ or 16-25. The only female likely to have been the wife was 26-44. Plus 2 males under 10, 2 additional males 16-25, 2 females under 10 and 2 females 10-15.
1820 census has 4 John ORT households in PA. Two in Derry, Mifflin Co., one in Fermanagh, Mifflin Co., and one in Upper Milford, Lehigh Co.
The 1840 census for Loyalsock Twp., Lycoming Co., PA, has a John ORT, age 50-59, wife in same age range; 1 male 20-29 and one female 15-19 (possibly daughter Margaret). The same page lists a David ORT. Ancestry.com
A John ORTT [sic] Sr., died 12-SEP-1853 in Lehigh Co., PA, age 71. The list of the surviving children does *not* include a Margaret. Widow’s name was Magdeline/Magdalena ANDRES(or possibly Maria ANDREAS). (Pennsylvania, Deaths, 1852-1854). Gravestone spells the name ORT (but ORTT on the wife’s grave).

This John may have been Johannes ORTT (1782-1853), whose father, Johannes ORTT (1749-1797) was in the American Revolution (his descendant, Charles H. ORTT, applied for SAR membership in 1944).
