According to “Daily Gazette and Bulletin” 02-MAR-1870 p.4, col.6, (filed under “Gazette Bulletin” on Ancestry) there was a Jennie Allen who married J. (probably John) B. G. KINSLOE on 01-MAR-1870. The 1870 census from later that year shows JBG & Jennie in Williamsport, Ward 2, with children who are probably from a previous marriage of JBG. Find A Grave Memorial# 24026346 lists Jennie Allen KINSLOE, born 21-JUN-1835, died 09-SEP-1893. And Memorial# 24023831 for J B G KINSLOE, 1820-1896. John appears to have been from Clinton Co., as proprietor of “Clinton Republican Printing House.” The “Barnes Family Tree” by “Barnes499” on
Ancestry.com, suggests his full name was John Bannister Gibson Kinsloe, b. 5 Apr 1820, Mexico, Juniata Co., Pennsylvania, d. 30 JUL 1896, Lock Haven, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania. The “Stoner Family Tree” by “rhoverter” on Ancestry has a photo of John Kinsloe. From 1860 census of Knox Co., Tennessee (indexed as ’S B G KINSLOW”), his first wife was Kate and there were 3 children, William A., Frank J. and Lucy.
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFWL-56Y documents the marriage of Lucy KINSLOE to Duncan SHAFFER, 02-DEC-1895, Clinton Co., PA. Father: J. B. G. KINSOE, Mother: Kate KINSLOE.
However, that same year, another Jennie ALLEN married John HAMILTON. “Daily Gazette and Bulletin” 18-FEB-1870 p.4, col.5. This Jennie was from Clinton Co. and was probably the daughter of a David ALLEN, based on the newspaper announcement.
Another possibility is John H. BURROWS, whose wife’s name in 1870 was Jennie, but maiden name unknown. Memorial# 71527303 suggests his wife was Jennie G. Ziegler.
Or Philip HILGERT. But Memorial# 130759559 suggests his wife was Martha Jane "Jennie" Gibson.
