Washington State Archives has a Quit Claim Deed from Snohomish County, recorded 7-Aug-1992, in which the buyer was Genevieve F. BURKLUND and the seller was Roy O. BURKLUND. Document images not online. See transcript at:

Possible obituary reference: BURKLUND, Roy Olaf; 84; Camano Island WA; The Herald; 1998-11-14
May have attended State College of Washington. The 1939 edition of that school’s yearbook, “The Chinook” has a photo on pages 85 & 305 of a “Roy O. BURKLAND” [sic] of Everett, Washington. (Available through Ancestry.com). However, his “estimated age” of 20 does not fit with birth in 1914. But then there is the 1934 edition which also mentions “Roy BURKLAND” [sic] as a Phi Kappa Tau pledge (page 241) with an estimated age of 20, then, which is consistent with birth in 1914. There is also a photo of him on page 242 of the 1935 edition which lists him as a Sophomore.
