The grave “tablet” for Sarah, James and their children, states that the four children were their only children (see photos in Family Multimedia section).

In the 1841 census, Sarah had been recently widowed (James died in Feburary), but there is a James RICKETT, age 35 (35-39), in the same household. He was not born in Northamptonshire (in 1841 the answer was either Yes or No), so it seems unlikely he is another son, especially in light of what it says on her gravestone (see above). Based on other census years, this James was probably born circa 1804 in Newark Upon Trent, Nottinghamshire, but later moved to Cotterstock. Perhaps is a nephew of Sarah’s husband. Also he is likely the son of Joseph & Rebecca RICKETT.
