The first information about Lachlan Mackintosh and François Coillard was given to Dorothy Blair by Jessie Stewart, which she repeated to me in 1975. This information led me to Source [35]. That book indicates Christina wrote to her mother as late as 28-APR-1886, and so she probably was still alive then.
Research
Lowell Dean Stewart mentions a Christy STEWART, born 26 Dec 1801, at Crossmount, daughter of Donald and Catharine STEWART. Perhaps he misread the register? [2107] He also mentions other STEWART families at Crossmount, who may be related, but the book is limited to tracking his branch of the family, which emigrated to the USA in 1801. His ancestor, Duncan STEWART (b.1764), chronologically, could have been an uncle of Christy.

Unconfirmed burial information at Findagrave.com [1498, Memorial# 126189534], suggesting he died 14 May 1862 and was buried at Cromdale (Cromdale and Advie parish - part of Inverness-shire until 1869, now in the Highland council area) Note that this is the parish where he got married.
