Misc. Notes
Author of “Coillard of the Zambesi.” [35] In the preface of the book she makes reference to François and Christina Coillard as being her uncle and aunt. This led to the conclusion that her father was a brother of Christina. She was also translator and editor of “On The Threshold Of Central Africa” [1031] which describes her as François Coillard’s niece. François’s preface in this book mentions that Catherine had a sister who assisted her work on the book. Actually, if the placement of the possessive apostrophe is correct, the reference is to more than one sister.
She also wrote, “Some Pioneer Missions of Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland” (1950), and “The New Zambesi Trail” (1922), “Lewanika: Paramount Chief of the Barotse and Allied Tribes, 1875-1916” (1942), “Dr. Harry Guinness: The Life Story of Henry Grattan Guinness” (1916), “Yeta III, Paramount Chief of the Barotse (Northern Rhodesia)” (1937), “Les Semailles de la petite Kaki” (1913). Co-authored, “An artisan missionary on the Zambesi.”

She lived in Heathfield, Sussex. [1032]

Never married. [1479]
