There was a Sarah THOMPSON who died 13-APR-1892, as reported in the Daily Gazette and Bulletin (Williamsport, Pennsylvania) 15-APR-1892, p.5, col.1. But this cannot be Sarah WEAVER, because the family connections traced from the details in this funeral notice, show that the deceased was born circa 1832. The funeral notice stated that Sarah had a sister named Mrs. M. C. ZIDERS. There is a lengthy obituary for a Michael C. ZIDERS, dated 27-JUL-1895, p.5, col.2 (same publication) who lived at the same address as the Mrs. ZIDERS mentioned above (508 Lycoming St.). Michael was born 25-JUL-1827, Hummelstown, PA. He was a carpenter. There was a Mrs. Mary ZIDERS whose obituary was published 29-JUL-1903, p.3. col.5, but it doesn’t reference any members of her family. The 1870 census of Williamsport lists a Michael ZEIDER and wife, Mary. 1880 census as “Michael ZIDERS”, wife Mary, plus sister-in-law: Sarah THOMPSON, age 48. That puts her birth in 1832, rather than 1855; and we also have the fact that Sarah WEAVER THOMPSON was still alive at the 1880 census.
