Misc. Notes
In 1850 there were 4 white males named "James Thompson" in Lycoming Co.:
• Hepburn Twp., age 30, son of widow Margart [sic] Thompson
• Muncy Twp., age 21, son of John & Susanna Thompson
• McIntyre Twp., age 4, son of Peter & Elira Thompson
• Hepburn Twp., age 1, son of A. & Eliza Thompson
Other possible matches are:
• James Thomson [sic], Mifflin Twp., age 32, no parents in household.
• J K Thompson, Hepburn Twp., age 33, no parents in household.
In 1860 there were also 4 white males named "James Thompson" in Lycoming Co.:
• Mifflin Twp., age 42, probably son of Thomas C. Thompson in same household.
• Hepburn Twp., age 40, no parents in household but possible mother, "Mrs. Thompson" next door.
• Cummings Twp., age 3, son of J S & Elizabeth Thompson ("J S" age 39 could also have been James).
• Piatt Twp., age 1, son of Wm (b. New York) & Mary A Thompson.
Note: "J C Thompson" age 40 in Lycoming Twp. turns out to be John.
A “James M. Thompson” died in 1891:
