Epitaph on his grave stone:
“Hans strid er endt,
han freden fandt,
som kampens maal,
han seier vandt.”

Translation courtesy of Celvin from Stavanger, Rogaland:
“His fight (battle) has ended (has come to an end),
he found peace
in reaching the goal of struggle
he was victorious (he won victory).” [1123]
Research
On the same 1860 census page as Source No.0367 [367], the entry for Family No. 1383 might be this Peter & Elizabeth but their ages are significantly different. And if it is them, it names a child, Helena, who is not otherwise known in this family.
