“Founder of Village of Bedford with permission of Gov. Stuyvesant, 1664.” [3579, p.84]

Dirck allegedly built the first brick house on Manhattan Island. [7157, p.415] [7159, p. 1013]

Findagrave MEMORIAL# 138823791 was created for him but it is not based on an actual discovery of his grave.
Research
May have also married, prior to 1689, a woman named Elizabeth. [7445, p.146] This same source also suggests that Dirck’s first wife was either Annetje Hansen BERGEN or Annetje FEDDENS, as opposed to marrying both of them in succession.

One source claims there was a daughter, Lysbeth Dirkse, baptized 16-MAY-1677, but this is inconsistent with the supposed death of Annatje Hans BERGEN before 1677, and the apparent existence of a daughter of Anetje FEDDENS, named Lisbet, who was baptized in 1684. [7445, p.146]

Additional “supposed” children: Arie Dirkse, Willem Dirkse, Sara Dirkse, Jan Dirkse, Neeltje Dirkse. [7445, p.146]
