The Lycoming County library newspaper index has an entry for an article about the 76th birthday of Charles BUBB, which was published 24-MAY-1898, page 6, in the Gazette & Bulletin. Thus supporting his birth in May of 1822.
Charles’ father was born in Germany. The city was given in the 1880 census as “Wertenburg” but they probably meant Württemberg. [4931]
Charles is very likely the Charles BUBB who was appointed as one of the executors for Mahlon TAYLOR’s estate. [1758]
In 1900, his grandson, Clyde BUBB (b. FEB 1887), was living with him, but I don’t know who Clyde’s father was. [4930]
