In this household in 1880, listed after the three sons, was a widow named “Mrs. Liggie BELL” age 30, born in Michigan and whose father was born in Pennsylvania and mother in New York. That profile makes it look like she could be Digby’s daughter, but it lists her as a “Boarder”; and there was a 7 year old girl, Bessie, listed as “Daughter” but clearly must be the daughter of Liggie, not of Digby. Bessie was born in Kansas, her father in Michigan and her mother in Michigan. So the relationship of Liggie and Bessie to Digby is unclear. [5397]

Digby wrote a will on 19-AUG-1886, in Detroit. In it he left everything to his wife. [5400]
