Florence never remarried, legally, after her divorce, but in a “ceremonial marriage” on 16-AUG-1909, at the Hotel Vanderbilt, in Manhattan, she became the unofficial wife of St. Clair Bayfield (that was his stage name; he was born as John St. Clair ROBERTS, in 1875, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England). St. Clair later claimed they were in a common law marriage.
