Places of residence: Dundee; Greenock; Edinburgh, Scotland. He was absent from the household in the 1841 census.

Source
[114] mentions Lachlan and appears to provide the correct relationship (as currently shown) to the STEWART family.
Lachlan had a sister, Elizabeth M. Mackintosh, who was born circa 1797. In 1871 she was living with Lachlan’s son, John.
[1481] Based on this information, Lachlan may have been born significantly later than the current estimate of 1777.

Unconfirmed burial information at

The first information about Lachlan Mackintosh and François Coillard was given to Dorothy Blair by Jessie Stewart, which she repeated to me in 1975. This information led me to Source
[35]. That book indicates Christina wrote to her mother as late as 28-APR-1886, and so she probably was still alive then.
Research
Lowell Dean Stewart mentions a Christy STEWART, born 26 Dec 1801, at Crossmount, daughter of Donald and Catharine STEWART. Perhaps he misread the register?
[2107] He also mentions other STEWART families at Crossmount, who may be related, but the book is limited to tracking his branch of the family, which emigrated to the USA in 1801. His ancestor, Duncan STEWART (b.1764), chronologically, could have been an uncle of Christy.
