Misc. Notes
The entry for Fanny in the 1850 census states her age as only 35, while the evidence from her father's pension file (pages 20 & 60) implies that she would have been much older in that year. My thinking is that what we're seeing is an error in her age, but a large error even by census standards. It should have been somewhere in the range 48-51. On page 60 of William Taylor's pension file he states Fanny's age as 21 (as of Dec.1820) and on page 20 he states her age as 27 (as of Dec.1828). So depending on which one of those is correct and when her birthday falls relative to the census, you get the range I stated. We know that Robert's daughter, Elizabeth Colburn is William's granddaughter, based on Sarah (Hoagland) Taylor's will, and when we see Robert and Elizabeth "Colbourn" in the 1860 census, with Fanny gone, and Mahlon Taylor (son of William & Edith (Colburn) Taylor) & Sarah Taylor (Fanny's sister) in the same household, it seems pretty clear that "Fanny Coalburn" was a Taylor and the only one who fits is Fanny. So Fanny was probably born in the range 1799-1801. If this is wrong, there's no accounting for who Fanny "Coalburn" is. [1824, p.20, 60], [2254], [1774], [1773]

Misc. Notes
Believed to be the Robert COLBURN, executor of Sarah HOAGLAND TAYLOR’s will. [1773]
Probably the brother of Edith COLBURN, wife of William TAYLOR (1802-1898).
In 1850, living in Robert’s household, was a 2nd Robert COALBURN [sic], born circa 1794, seemingly too young to be Robert’s father. [2254] However, given the apparent large error in Fanny’s age in this record, perhaps this 2nd Robert was also older, say closer to 66, in which case he may very well be Robert’s father.

Robert’s parents were born in New Jersey. [1842]
